About Teretta Foundation
The Teretta Foundation was born out of a desire to make a difference in the lives of children who have been abandoned or abused. Founded by two passionate women, one from Ireland and one from Tanzania, we blend the best of both heritages to create a nurturing environment for children in need.
Our foundation is named after our grandmothers, Teresa and Etta, who instilled in us a deep sense of community and service. We are committed to giving these children a second chance at life, with love, dignity, and care at the core of our work.

Mobility & Assistive Devices for Children with Disabilities

Education & Sponsorship Support
Purpose:
To ensure vulnerable children and youth have access to quality education.
What This Project Covers:
School fees and learning materials
Uniforms, shoes, and essential supplies

Safe Homes & Shelter Improvement
Purpose:
To offer a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment for at-risk children within the communities around us.
What This Project Includes:
Providing secure shelter and a permanent home for vulnerable and at-risk children
Ensuring children have access to basic needs such as food, clothing, education, and emotional support
Creating a safe environment where children can grow, heal, and thrive

Children receive the stability, safety, and care they need to rebuild their lives and create a positive future.
Vocational & Career Development for Youth
Purpose:
To empower older youth, including guides and porters, with skills for long-term employment.
What This Project Will Offer:
College or vocational training scholarships
Skill-building workshops (ICT, hospitality, trades)
Job placement support
Impact:
Community members gain sustainable careers and economic independence.
Community Health & Nutrition Outreach
Purpose:
To support children’s overall wellbeing through targeted health initiatives.
